Academic Planning and Quality Assurance

Overview

²ÝÁñ¶ÌÊÓÆµis dedicated to providing high quality programming that leads to success in a student’s chosen pathway. The Office of the Vice President Academic, Students and Research is responsible for the College’s Academic Planning process and Quality Assurance process. The goal is to ensure that VCC’s academic programs and student services are aligned with the College’s  and procedures, the , and the  expectations for post-secondary institutions.

Academic Planning

Academic planning reflects a process which incorporates the goals and initiatives identified by the academic schools; Continuing Studies; Indigenous Education and Community Engagement; Institutional Research; ²ÝÁñ¶ÌÊÓÆµ Education; Library, Teaching and Learning Services; the Registrar’s Office, Student Development and the office of the Vice-President Academic, Students and Research.

Quality Assurance

The College has a series of quality assurance processes that are designed to strengthen and maintain its programs. This includes governance review, annual program review, program renewal, and short and long term planning activities.

Quality Assurance Process Audit (QAPA)

In 2015 the  tasked the Degree Quality Assurance Board (DQAB) with developing and implementing a quality assurance process audit. ²ÝÁñ¶ÌÊÓÆµhas completed the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training Quality Assurance Process Audit 2018/19.
