It is regarded as the access point to the ²ÝÁñ¶ÌÊÓƵcommunity for new students, and immigrants, and as the natural centre of the student life and community.

During this time, the SU²ÝÁñ¶ÌÊÓƵwill have continued its role as a champion for students’ rights and grown to become a leader for environmentally sustainable practises in the post-secondary systems.

The Students’ Union of ²ÝÁñ¶ÌÊÓƵwas formed in 1974 to become the representative body of 13,000 students at ²ÝÁñ¶ÌÊÓƵ.
As a part of caring about the well-being of its membership, the SU²ÝÁñ¶ÌÊÓƵis connected to the heart of campus life, providing students with access to recreation, events, and opportunities to contribute to the community. A member of the and an advocate for students rights, the SU²ÝÁñ¶ÌÊÓƵhas successfully lobbied for, and implemented a standardized and fair-priced Universal Transit Pass for all Metro Vancouver students.
The SU²ÝÁñ¶ÌÊÓƵalso provides its students with a tailored, high-quality that meets the needs of its diverse constituency.
